Milan Michigan was the place to be on Sunday, May 3. The Hagerty Cycling Team had a great showing of riders and did really well. The course had 4 miles of dirt and sections of "gravel." I'd say the "gravel" was more like shards of broken up chunks of rocks over large unseen potholes, but that's just me and probably too long of a course description. But despite the course condition, Hagerty had some top finishes.
Hal BeVier, surrounded by his hard working teammates, Norm Licht, Craig Webb, Myles Weitzerman, Scott Pryde, and Peter Worden, took first in the Masters 45+. Craig Webb took 6th place with the help of teammate Scott Pryde who gave up a wheel. Nice teamwork guys!
In the Master's 55+ Cliff Onthank took 1st place.
In the Women's Category 123, Erica Wietzman had a 6th place finish.
Women's 4 Category had 2 top finishes. Amy Jenema, who looked like she was just out for a nice "gravel" ride, had an impressive 1st place finish and Danielle Rearick finished in 3rd.
Way to go Hags!
